Kevin Allen
Prior to founding APA, Kevin worked as a Staff Adjuster with Chubb Insurance, Travelers Insurance and Aetna Insurance handling Personal Lines and Commercial Lines claims. Kevin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from SUNY Oneonta and earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the College of Saint Rose. In 1998 Kevin left Chubb Insurance to work for the Albany Fire Department and then obtained his Public Adjusters License. Kevin is married with two children.
Richard A. Scanlon
Prior to founding APA, Rick ran a successful fire restoration construction firm for over 15 years. Rick’s experience in residential and commercial construction is second to none in this industry. Rick has an Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting. Rick is a Lieutenant with the Albany Fire Department and has been a member of this department since 1992. Rick is married with three children.
Gregg A. Thomas
Gregg has an Engineering Degree from Alfred University. Prior to APA, Gregg managed an international manufacturing company in Albany County. Gregg has an extensive negotiating background and a strong knowledge of masonry construction. Gregg is a life long resident of Ballston Spa and he is married with three children.
Richard J. Allen
Rick has been a Career Firefighter in the City of Albany since 1991. Rick has an extensive knowledge of fire behavior and ensuing smoke and water damages. His background enhances his ability to accurately assess and write building estimates and content inventories. Rick has also worked extensively in construction focusing on detailed finish work. Rick is married with two children.
